This one-of-a-kind collaboration explores the unlikely common ground between two leading pianists from opposite ends of the jazz spectrum. Aaron Diehl is an aficionado of the early tradition of jazz piano, while Dan Tepfer is inspired by the avant garde. This New York City premiere presentation was first performed for the Catskill Jazz Factory at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, and celebrates the spirit of artistic collaboration in an unprecedented blend of J.S. Bach and the Great American Songbook from Cole Porter Fellows Tepfer and Diehl.
