Houston native Helen Sung challenges herself to expand her personal artistry in new directions. The award-winning pianist and composer has performed throughout the world, leading her own projects and appearing with artists of diverse musical styles. She returns to Dizzy’s Club in celebration of one of the music’s most vital and compelling architects: Horace Silver. Her large ensemble arrangements provide fresh interpretations of Silver’s seminal works, including selections from Song for My Father, Blowin’ the Blues Away, Six Pieces of Silver, and Doin’ the Thing.
