Bio:
Diana Sophia is a Mexican singer-songwriter and interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. Her original music blends rock, pop, and modal harmonies, with poetic, emotionally raw songwriting. Her songs explore themes of adversity, transformation, and resilience, offering an intimate and unfiltered look into the depths of human experience.

She briefly studied at “Conservatorio de las Rosas” and “Escuela Superior de Música” in Mexico, and worked professionally for several years at The Mexican Opera House as a soprano in the chorus. Though classically trained, Diana forged her own artistic path after moving to New York, embracing songwriting and independent creation.

Her debut EP “Shine” (2019) marked that transition, followed by singles like I Don’t Wanna Feel, Mírala Brillar, Katherina, and La Llorona. She now performs her original songs in intimate live settings, accompanied by piano, voice, and occasionally a trio ensemble.

Diana Sophia’s latest work, “A Mexican Free Holy!”, is an interdisciplinary show written and produced by her, blending original music with masks, puppetry, visuals, and a live band.
