World Doctors Orchestra, an ensemble of physicians from around the globe, makes its Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage debut. With Joseph Alessi as guest conductor, violinist Charlie Siem performs Korngold’s Violin Concerto. Storyteller and pianist Dr. Richard Kogan demystifies the musical genius of Gershwin before offering his own interpretation of Rhapsody in Blue. The program concludes with Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. All proceeds from the performance benefit local charity Creatives Care.
