How sound and music influence the brain, emotions, and the way we think, feel, and behave.

A Conversation on Music, Psychology, and Human Behavior

Join a pianist, educator, and psychology researcher for The Science of Sound: How Music Changes Human Behavior, an engaging exploration of how music interacts with the mind and body to influence our emotions, memories, learning, and behavior. Together, we’ll explore the psychology behind why music affects us so deeply and how sound can shape the way we think, feel, learn, and perform.

What We’ll Cover:

• How music affects the brain – Explore the psychological processes behind how music influences emotions, attention, memory, and mood.

• Music, learning, and performance – Discover how music and deliberate practice can shape learning, skill development, focus, and performance.

• The mind body connection – Examine how emotional states can influence creativity, motivation, and our ability to learn and perform at our best.

Whether you’re a music lover, psychology enthusiast, lifelong learner, or simply curious about why certain songs can instantly change your mood, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the powerful relationship between music, the mind, and human behavior.
