Matthew So, Classical Bassoon

Born in Hong Kong, Matthew began playing the bassoon at 13. Matthew currently studies in New York City, where he is pursuing his Master of Music degree for bassoon performance at Manhattan School of Music studying with William Short. Matthew obtained his Bachelor of Music at McGill University where he studied with Stéphane Lévesque. Matthew was an apprentice for Canada’s National Academy Orchestra in Toronto in 2023 and 2024.
