Jim Ridl, a New York City-based jazz pianist, composer and teacher, performs and records worldwide with a variety of jazz artists, including Joe Locke, Paul Jost, Dave Liebman, Tim Armacost and the Mingus Big Band. He is well-known as a “musician’s musician.” Past performance residencies include the 55 Bar and Soapbox Gallery. Jim has 9 recordings of his own, including two released in 2022: Ask for the Ancient Path and Standards Live. Jim’s 10 year tenure with guitar master Pat Martino included international duet and quartet performances. He is currently on the faculty at New York Jazz Workshop and adjunct faculty at the City College of New York.
