Julian Pflugmann, born in 1994 in Frankfurt, Germany, spent his early childhood there. At the age of seven he moved with his family from Frankfurt to Shenyang, China, where he began his professional career as a pianist. He received regular piano lessons at the conservatory with Professor Danwen Wei.
He studied in Berlin with Prof. Fabio Bidini, and at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. He received a full scholarship from the Mannes School of Music and completed his master’s degree with Prof. Jerome Rose. Julian Pflugmann returned to Germany in 2019 and continued his studies at the Detmold University of Music with Prof. Elena Margolina-Hait, graduating in February 2022.
Mr. Pflugmann has participated in masterclasses in Europe and America, including, in Utrecht with Prof. Jerome Rose and at IKIF with Philippe Entremont. As a solo pianist, he has performed with the Pilsen Philharmonic and the Dortmund Philharmonic.
