About A Bu

Born in Beijing in 1999, pianist and composer A Bu bridges classical and jazz traditions with striking versatility. A winner of the 2015 Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition, he has performed globally with major orchestras and collaborated with artists like Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. Classically trained at Juilliard and Mannes, A Bu composes original works published by Schott Music and is a noted interpreter and advocate of Nikolai Kapustin, premiering and editing key works. His latest album New Memories was released by WERGO, showcasing his blend of technical mastery and creative depth.

Mannes Summer Piano Festival Concert Series

The Mannes Summer Piano Festival is a celebration of piano artistry! From July 14 to 23, the concert series showcases piano virtuosity with an extraordinary lineup of the new generation of internationally acclaimed pianists. All concerts will take place at Tishman Auditorium at The New School.
