
A Marriage of Bass and Fortepiano at The National Arts Club (Site)

FreeA dynamic husband and wife duo Yi-heng Yang (Faculty, The Julliard A dynamic husband and wife duo Yi-heng Yang (Faculty, The Juilliard School), and Max Zeugner (Associate Principal bass, The New York Philharmonic), brings a unique combination of instruments showcasing virtuosity and artistic creativity, while raising two beautiful children in New York City. Yang will be performing on a rare fortepiano, which is a replica of Mozart’s own Walter piano, and Zeugner will perform music transcribed for the double bass, from virtuosic cello and violin works. They will perform works found in their upcoming album release by Deux-Elles records, including music of Beethoven, Handel, Schubert, Gluck, with commentary on the program by the musicians.
