Piano Trios by Shostakovich, Haydn, and Brahms

with Mark Peskanov, violin; Julian Schwarz, cello; Marika Bournaki, piano

Described as “the Celine Dion of classical” by The Huffington Post, MARIKA BOURNAKI is at once a world-class performer, dazzling pianist, vivacious young woman and one of the freshest faces on the classical music scene. Ms. Bournaki not only brings distinctive interpretations to favorite standards, but extends her passion for music by commissioning works from younger composers and collaborating with artists from various fields.

Marika’s current season is highlighted by two orchestral debuts with Ravel’s Concerto in G – Opening Night with Music Director Enrique Diemecke and the Flint Symphony Orchestra and Massachusetts’ Vista Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Artistic Director Bruce Hangen. She also makes her debut with The Florida Orchestra with Music Director Michael Francis conducting Beethoven’s Triple Concerto.
