SUMMARY:Frankie DiDonato & His New Illuminati Players at OPERA America
DESCRIPTION:“I Shall Seize Fate by the Throat” – Beethoven \nThis is our theme of the evening- Art\, Poetry \, Life\, Death\, Rejoice \, Regret \, Life is to be lived. Music based on these themes and those who played with fate either with reverance or animosity. Our representations or Archetypes for this journey tonight are: \n\nAll of us. (The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost)\nEduourd Manet\nThe Vikings\nHamlet\nParacelsus (Father of Alchemy)\nJ. Alfred Prufrock (character invented by T.S. Eliot)\n\n  \nTHE NEW ILLUMINATI \nThe Illuminati was a small group of people who sought to infuse higher thinking into the main stream\, thus Illluninating the average people through art. They existed just prior to the French Revolution. Christian Gottleib Neefe was Beethoven’s only real teacher from childhood through adolescense. He was also a key member and the secretary of the Illuminati. His humanity and beleifs no doubt influenced the young mind of the greatest musician of all time\, helping the master to illuminate the world throughout his lifetime and ours. \nWe are here to praise those who came before us and carry that torch. Your attending helps in that effort; The belief that art in itself… Not “art” as a “vehicle” for a “cause” …NO ! but that Art in itself and of itself benefits the world more than any other entity. \n  \nI hope you attend and enjoy our work and help us continue our quest. \nFrankie DiDonato (composer) Robert Mcdaniels MC and Baritone \, Valerie Nuzzolo Clarinet\, Heather O’Gara Clarinet\, Francesca Bucci-Vernizzi Muron Piano\, John Bowen Piano\, Stephanie Horowitz Mulry Soprano\, Michael Eaton Tenor Saxophone\, Nemanyah A. SUMMARY:La Traviata feat. Alla Milchtein\, Piano\, at OPERA America's National Opera Center
DESCRIPTION:Experience the passion and drama of Verdi’s La Traviata in an intimate concert performance at Marc A. Scorca Hall on May 25 at 8 PM. Soprano Lucero Del Mar brings both brilliance and depth to the role of Violetta\, alongside the ardent tenor Eduardo Pacheco as Alfredo. At the piano\, Alla Milchtein masterfully interprets Verdi’s lush\, expressive score. This special evening highlights the sweeping melodies and emotional intensity of one of opera’s most beloved works\, bringing audiences closer to the timeless story of love\, sacrifice\, and fate. Stripped of elaborate staging\, this performance focuses on the raw artistry of the music and the power of the human voice. Don’t miss this chance to experience La Traviata in a setting that allows every phrase and emotion to shine. Secure your seats for an unforgettable evening of opera at its finest. \n
