DESCRIPTION:Brahms Sonata No. 3 in F minor\, Op 5\nProkofiev Sonata No. 7 in B-flat Major\, Op. 83\n\nWith \nMisha Dichter\, piano \nBorn in Shanghai to parents who had fled Poland at the outbreak of World War II\, Misha Dichter and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was two; he began studying the piano at five. At the age of 20\, while enrolled at the famed Juilliard School in New York City\, he won the Silver Medal at the 1966 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow\, which helped launch an enviable concert career. Shortly thereafter\, on August 14\, 1966\, Mr. Dichter was the guest soloist in a Tanglewood performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Erich Leinsdorf and the Boston Symphony Orchestra\, a concert that was broadcast nationally on NBC and subsequently recorded for RCA. Two years later\, he made his New York Philharmonic debut under the baton of Leonard Bernstein\, collaborating on the same concerto. Appearances with the Berlin Philharmonic\, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw Orchestra\, the principal London orchestras and every major American orchestra soon followed. \n

A former student of Christian Sands\, he has toured across the United States\, Japan\, and Brazil as a member of three-time GRAMMY-winning vocalist Samara Joy’s band. His performance credits include collaborations with Jeff “Tain” Watts\, Kendrick Scott\, Jaleel Shaw\, Ingrid Jensen\, Maurice Brown\, and Marcus Gilmore\, with appearances at the Hollywood Bowl\, Blue Note Tokyo\, SFJAZZ\, The Deer Head Inn\, The Jazz Gallery\, Mezzrow\, and Smalls. Cameron is completing his undergraduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music under the mentorship of Marc Cary while establishing a strong presence on the NYC scene. \nBassist\, composer\, and educator Conway Campbell Jr. also grew up in Worcester and began his musical journey on cello before shifting to the upright bass. He developed his passion for jazz early\, earning scholarships to major summer programs and receiving the Louis Armstrong Award. Conway completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Hartford’s Jackie McLean Institute\, studying with Ron Carter\, Gerald Cannon\, and Nat Reeves. Now pursuing a master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music under Buster Williams\, he performs widely throughout New York and Connecticut. Orozco spent 14 years in Venezuela\, where he developed an important and prolific career. In 2012\, Orozco moved to the United States and enrolled with a full tuition Assistantship to The Peabody Institute of John Hopkins University in Baltimore\, where he earned a Graduate Performance Diploma (GPD) in Jazz Piano. He also holds a degree in Violin Performance and Ensemble Conducting from the National School of Arts in Havana\, Cuba. Some of the artists he has worked with include Paquito D’Rivera\, Pedrito Martinez\, Gary Thomas\, Alex Norris\, Mike Stern\, Troy Roberts\, Paul Bollenback\, Albita Rodriguez\, Tony Succar\, Guaco\, Gilberto Santa Rosa\, Luis Enrique\, and Giovanni Hidalgo just to name a few.\nOrozco has participated in more than 80 albums including seven on his own. He is a two-time Latin Grammy nominee artist for Best Arrangement (2019 & 2021)\, and a Cubadisco and Independent Music Award winner. Orozco has developed an innovative approach to a fusion of Venezuelan and Cuban traditional music with Jazz along with his project Kamarata.
