Yves Henry Master Class at Hunter College (Site)

Following an exceptional evening of piano music by Frédéric Chopin, performed by internationally-acclaimed French pianist Yves Henry, we are pleased to announce that Maestro Henry will be offering a masterclass in New York, on October 25th 2017. Four participants will be selected from the finest music schools in New York (Juilliard, Graduate Center at CUNY, Hunter College, etc.).

About Yves Henry:

Born in 1959, Yves Henry made his concert debut at 13 performing Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto with the Berkiner Philharmoniker. A graduate from the Paris Conservatory (where he teaches nowadays), he was the first Western European pianist to win the Robert Schumann international Competition in Zwickau 1981 and was subsequently prized at the Casadesus Compeition (1985). He has performed and recorded at an international level.

Yves Henry is also a music transcriber and a composer, known for his music tale Tubulin. He has been decorated the prestigious Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
