Kaitlyn grew up participating in theatre\, choir and band in her hometown of Harleysville\, Pennsylvania before pursuing a music degree in New York City. She began her artistic journey singing in vocal ensembles and performing at open mic nights before getting hired at a piano bar. She attributes her development as a musician and performer to her time spent playing in piano bars where she learned how to have fun with a crowd and to sing and play songs on the fly. When the pandemic shut the world (and live music) down\, Kaitlyn took advantage of the time to develop her sound and purpose as an artist\, telling stories and love and heartbreak. Kaitlyn is inspired by artists from all eras from Carole King and Billy Joel to Sara Bareilles\, Alessia Cara\, and Billie Eilish. She has always been inspired by the storytelling songwriters craft into their songs and how music has the magic to transport you to a specific place and moment in time.
