For Simone Dinnerstein, the interpretation of a musical score requires attention not just to what the piece should sound like, but what it wants to say. “There’s a feeling of narrative in this music, a feeling of speech,” she says of Schubert’s Impromptus, which she will pair with works by Philip Glass for this solo recital.
