DESCRIPTION:An intimate piano trio evening featuring the passionate lyricism of Rachmaninoff\, the colors of Ravel\, and the intensity of Shostakovich. \n\nJoin violinist Victoria Pan\, cellist Weiting Sun\, and pianist Yixuan Han for a program that moves from Rachmaninoff’s sweeping romanticism to Ravel’s luminous colors and Shostakovich’s intensity and wit.\nThe musicians have performed at venues and festivals including Carnegie Hall\, Jordan Hall\, Banff\, Kneisel Hall\, and the Taos School of Music. \nThe evening begins with a short pre-concert talk introducing the music\, followed by the performance and a post-concert reception with drinks\, where you can meet the musicians and continue the conversation. \nCome for the music\, stay for the atmosphere — an intimate West Village evening of vivid\, dramatic\, and deeply expressive chamber music. \nLimited seating for this intimate evening. Early Bird tickets are $20 through September 5\, with student tickets also available.
