DESCRIPTION:Pre-College Viola Students of Carol Rodland \nVenue\nMorse Hall \nViolist Carol Rodland had her solo debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has premiered and recorded works by Kenji Bunch\, Dan Coleman\, David Liptak\, Christopher Theofanidis\, and Augusta Read Thomas. She is an artist-faculty member at the Perlman Music Program\, Bowdoin International Music Festival\, and the Karen Tuttle Coordination Workshop. Her previous positions include co-chair of the String Department at Eastman School of Music and at New England Conservatory\, where she was recognized in 2005 with the Krasner Award for Excellence in Teaching.
