DESCRIPTION:Trio Gaia – New York Debut \nDebussy: Piano Trio in G Major (1880)\nRobert Schumann: Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor (1847)\nEllen Taafe Zwilich: Septet for String Quartet and Piano Trio (2009) – with members of the Ivalas Quartet \nThis concert will be approximately one hour and 50 minutes\, including intermission. \nCost\n$20 – general admission\n$17 – seniors and those with disabilities \nFormed in 2018\, Trio Gaia\, is New England Conservatory’s graduate piano trio in residence. The trio is dedicated to offering audiences dynamic\, personally relevant experiences inside and outside the concert hall. Recently\, the trio won 1st prize at the 2022 WDAV Young Chamber Musicians Competition\, as well as prizes in the 2022 Premio Trio di Trieste International Music Competition\, 2021 Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition\, and the 2019 Plowman National Chamber Music Competition. \nNOTE: Seats are not assigned – please contact us prior to the concert if you have specific seating needs (see accessibility section below). \nStudent tickets: A limited number of $5 stand-by tickets will be made available for students with student ID at 1pm on the day of the concert. \nNew School Community: Register for a single\, non-transferrable\, advance ticket with N# using the tickets sales form. You will be asked to present school ID upon entry to event.
