After three albums that garnered much acclimation Oscar Perez brings together a special quintet on Monday, July 24 at Cornelia Street Cafe. He’s joined by stellar musicians: trumpeter Ted Chubb, saxophonist Bruce Williams, bassist Anthony Perez, and drummer Darrell Green.

JazzTimes praised Perez as “an extraordinary composer who blends the rhythmic complexity of Latin American music with the elegant harmonies of jazz,” while DownBeat chimed in by marveling over the music’s “wondrous interaction of piano and band.”
