New York-based pianist and composer Nicolas Namoradze is the 2018 winner of Canada’s Honens International Piano Competition. In this recital, Namoradze presents a number of cross-temporal musical relationships, including pairing Scriabin’s “Black Mass” and J.S. Bach’s Sinfonia in F Minor, highlighting the intricate polyphony of the textures in Scriabin’s Sonata and the chromaticism in Bach’s Sinfonia. He closes the program with his own Arabesque and etudes.
