SUMMARY:Modney "Ascending Primes" Album Release Concert (Pyroclastic Records) at Tenri Cultural Institute
DESCRIPTION:The release of Modney’s double-album of solo and ensemble works on Pyroclastic Records\, Ascending Primes\, will be celebrated with a concert at Tenri Cultural Institute on May 18th\, 2024 at 8:00 P.M. The evening will include the NYC premiere of Modney’s Ascender for solo violin with distortion pedal\, performances of Lynx (violin\, cello\, electronics) and Everything Around It Moves (piano and string quartet)\, and improvisations by Ascending Primes musicians Anna Webber\, Charmaine Lee\, Kate Gentile\, Erica Dicker\, Mariel Roberts\, Cory Smythe\, Kyle Armbrust\, and Sam Pluta. The price of admission includes a copy of the album\, a deluxe art object with reproductions of seventeen Ellsworth Kelly postcard collages within the album package and liner notes.
