DESCRIPTION:OSL’s season-long celebration of women composers concludes with this program of piano and vocal works by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel and her brother Felix Mendelssohn. Completed shortly before her death\, Fanny’s Piano Trio is one of her impressive pieces. By contrast\, Felix’s Piano Sextet was written when he was only 15\, and the work was unknown until decades after his death.
