A former member of the Lionel Hampton Orchestra and Illinois Jacquet Big Band\, he has appeared at major venues including Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center\, as well as international festivals from Europe to West Africa. His acclaimed recordings\, such as Presence\, Carousel\, and Just Me\, Just You…\, showcase his lyrical and masterful playing. As a U.S. State Department Jazz Ambassador\, Ham has combined performance with education\, sharing his deep knowledge of jazz around the world.
