Internationally acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel celebrates the tenth season of his ever-popular Keyboard Conversations^® series at Scandinavia House. Each evening comprises an informal commentary on the music and its composers, a full performance of each work, and a short Q & A session. The accessible format enables audiences to build an understanding of classical music whether newcomer or seasoned listener.

This season includes concerts on Thursday, January 24; Thursday, March 14; and Thursday, May 2, 2019.

In tonight’s performance, Siegel presents expressive and magnificent musical miniatures of Wilhelm Stenhammar (Sweden), Jean Sibelius (Finland), Carl Nielsen (Denmark), Dag Wirén (Sweden), Christian Sinding (Norway) and Johannes Brahms (Northern Germany). Hear how these composers influenced one another, as well as how each went his own way.
