This concerts features 20th century music from Europe paired with contemporary piano solos written by Syrian-American, Taiwanese-American, and Chinese American composers. These contemporary works, written by esteemed professors from major American universities, are exciting and accessible. Pianist Joanne Chen presents an unusual program of diverse cultural flavors with an American twist.
