Jiale Li performs his solo debut at Carnegie Hall as the recipient of the 2017 Lowry Award at the Eastman School of Music . A prize-winner in several international competitions, Mr. Li is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at the Eastman School. This program contrasts the expanded classical sonata form of Beethoven’s Hammerklavier with Chopin’s short, self-contained, and expressive preludes, representing musical maximalism and minimalism in the 19th century.
