DESCRIPTION:Following his sold out Birdland debut in March\, Jacob Khalil returns to the Birdland Theater on August 14th at 7pm & 9:30pm! \nBroadway World described the singer- songwriter’s Birdland debut as a show that “makes people love live music\, the kind in which Birdland specializes…” and one where Jacob “guide(s) an audience into the joyful experiencing of the music\, with patrons clapping along and swaying in their chairs\, some clearly wishing they could get up and dance.” \nThis new show will highlight brand new songs from Jacob’s catalogue\, fresh arrangements from the great American songbook\, and an inventive approach to modern top 40 songs for Jacob’s trio and special guests from the jazz and songwriting scenes. \nJacob Khalil is a Texas born\, New York City based entertainer who effectively blurs the lines between jazz and modern pop music. His sound is often described as something between John Legend and Harry Connick Jr. and his original songs have been hailed by Broadway World as\, “Radio ready…chart toppers.” \nJacob maintains a busy schedule of performing nightly in New York City\, touring nationally\, and collaborating with songwriters and producers in Los Angeles and Nashville. His voice has been featured on hundreds of recordings\, including the feature films “Cryo”(June 2022) and T.C.
