Mr. Dowling’s 3-CD set of The Complete Piano Works of Scott Joplin was nominated for a Grammy Award. He was the first pianist in the world to perform the Complete Joplin cycle of 53 rags\, waltzes\, marches\, and cakewalks — nearly four hours of music all from memory in two sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall\, and has performed well over 100 Great Scott! all-Joplin concerts across America. He is a frequent guest artist at ragtime and jazz festivals.
