It is part of the Gabriel Fauré Centenary celebration at La Maison Française of NY.\n \nStory Recital: Fauré’s Last Love \nPerformers\nAline Piboule\, musical design and piano\nPascal Quignard\, literary creation and narrator \nFauré’s romantic relationship with Marguerite Hasselmans\, witness to the last twenty-four years of the composer’s life\, inspired the pianist Aline Piboule and the writer Pascal Quignard to have an intimate conversation between music and words. When they met in 1900\, she was twenty-four years old\, he was fifty-five. Until the composer’s death\, Marguerite Hasselmans would be a performer of choice\, a close friend and a daily confidante\, an observer of Parisian musical life as well as the maturation of Fauré’s work.
