Join NYC Parks Arts, Culture & Fun for a Black History Month piano concert at Jackie Robinson Recreation Center! We will be featuring artist Emme Kemp for the first hour of the event, followed by open play for attendees to showcase their talents!

Chicago-born Emme Kemp is rightly hailed by the National Jazz Museum in Harlem as “an unsung heroine in American Music.” She studied American Music at Northwestern University, Berkley College, and New York University and is well-known as a protégé to the jazz great Eubie Blake and as a Broadway composer (“Bubblin’ Brown Sugar”).

Presented by the Jazz Foundation of America, with partial support from the National Endowment for the Arts, NYS Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the NYS Legislature, and from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
