Dudamel Open Rehearsal: Ives, Benzecry, Dvořák at Lincoln Center; Sergio Tiempo Piano (Site)
Wednesday January 15, 2020, 9:45 am - 11:45 am
This first of Gustavo Dudamel’s two weeks of Philharmonic concerts includes Dvořák’s most beloved symphony, the Ninth, his “postcard” from the New World — a cascade of beguiling melodies, majestic horn calls, and an expression of homesickness for his native Bohemia. Plus, Ives’s brief and fascinating “mini-philosophy-lesson” about the universe and man’s eternal search for meaning.

Esteban Benzecry: Piano Concerto, Universos infinitos (New York Premiere)
Dvořák: Symphony No. 9, From the New World
