SUMMARY:Art of the Duo: Jazz Vocal & Piano Concert at Dorot
DESCRIPTION:Rising star vocalist Georgia Heers joins jazz pianist Gabriel Schillinger-Hyman at Dorot in what will be their debut duo show. Improvisation and spontaneous composition will be central to their performance of jazz standards and American Songbook classics. A recent graduate of Juilliard’s Jazz Master’s program\, Georgia Heers performs with a host of NYC heavyweights at jazz venues including Dizzy’s – Jazz at Lincoln Center\, Smalls Jazz Club\, Mezzrow\, Chris Jazz Cafe\, and more recently\, at Emmets Place with renowned pianist\, Emmet Cohen. Gabriel Schillinger-Hyman\, too\, can be found performing regularly at household venues in NYC\, has played as an accompanist at Carnegie Hall\, and tours with internationally acclaimed musicians including the GRAMMY-winning Christopher McBride and Tim Green\, a Grammy-nominee and saxophonist for Michael Bublé.
